Marcus Vance understood that theatre is built one detail at a time. His rooms, doorways, props, and rehearsal tables held the fingerprints of an artist who made everyone around him better prepared.

Marcus could make a rehearsal table feel like a command center. He always knew where the spike tape was, which wall was about to wobble, and how to calm a room without raising his voice.
He built sets that looked inevitable, as if the story had always been waiting inside the lumber.
